Maria Costanza Red Wine


The Maria Costanza Bianco G. Milazzo represents a milestone in Sicilian viticulture. The company was in fact the first to make the blend of Inzolia and Chardonnay to give life to this elegant white wine. The grapes are pressed at a controlled temperature. The free run must, further refrigerated, undergoes a clarification of 12-24 hours after which alcoholic fermentation is started. Part of the musts ferment in steel at low temperature and part ferment in French oak barrels, specially selected for the aging of white wines. The wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation and are kept on their lees until the following spring by means of ‘batônage’. The wine matures at least 2 months in the bottle before being marketed.
